Make A Plan

I had my own business from 2003 to 2009 where I did not give myself salary on a regular basis. When I sold it in 2009, I had acquired 30K of personal debt. I met someone shortly after and he also had about the same amount of debt. In September of 2010, we made a plan to pay off all our debts in one year. In November 2011 my fella made his last debt payment. Here are some of the things we did: we sold his truck, camping trailer and we sold some of our personal items. We now share my vehicle to go to work to save on gas and insurance. We looked at how much it cost for the necessities and opened a joint account where we transfer the same amount each month to cover them. The balance of our salaries is used to cover our debts. I finished paying my debts in July 2011. We are now saving money towards our new condo for May 2012. Thanks to your show which we watch on a regular basis, it gave us the motivation we needed to keep us focused and accomplish our goal!
